School to School Support
We provide bespoke collaborative and formal support packages to individuals, schools or subject areas based on school priorities. Essential to our support is the notion of self-improvement and sustained change through promotion of a learning culture, enabling schools to share expertise within our alliance.
Our formal support packages (NLEs, LLEs etc.) contribute significantly to improving the outcomes for children through developing the capacity of peer leaders in other schools.
Through our partnerships, CITA provides bespoke support tailored to meet the need of individual schools. We are passionate about collaboration enabling expertise to be shared and developed - belonging to and working with an alliance is about mutual collaboration. Our intention is to promote a climate where schools are confident and reassured to share expertise or reflect honestly on areas for improvement, proactively promoting continuous improvement in our schools for our pupils.
We have a whole spectrum of support available to mainstream school and special schools via our National Leaders of Education (NLEs) and National Support Schools. We also have SEND Reviewers within CITA and are able to provide Governance reviews through NLG.
National Leaders of Education (NLEs)
National Leaders of Education (NLEs) are outstanding Headteachers or principals who, together with the staff in their schools, use their skills and experience to support schools in challenging circumstances. In addition to leading their own schools, NLEs work to increase the leadership capacity of other schools to help raise standards.
Local Leaders of Education (LLEs)
Local Leaders of Education (LLEs) are successful Headteachers with a proven track record of supporting other schools, and with the capacity to work alongside other heads, to drive forward improvements and build capacity to ensure that improvements can be sustained.
Specialist Leaders in Education (SLEs)
SLEs are outstanding middle and senior leaders who have the skills to support individuals or teams in similar positions in other schools. They understand what outstanding leadership practice in their area of expertise looks like and are skilled in helping other leaders to achieve it in their own context, offering high quality CPD and S2S support.
We will be in the process of recruiting additional SLEs during 2018-19.
